Meet Charles ODonnell

Born in New Jersey and growing up in sunny Southern California, Charles enjoyed his childhood in charming communities like Pasadena, Arcadia, Monrovia, and Glendora. These early experiences helped shape his strong work ethic and open-minded perspective, setting the stage for a wide-ranging and successful professional journey.

Before becoming an author, Charles built an impressive career across several industries. He began in manufacturing before moving into the aviation sector, where he worked with two airlines. Later, he transitioned into retail leadership, serving as a discount store manager before moving into distribution management. His leadership abilities eventually led him to become the CEO of a regional retail company, where he guided the organization for a decade.

Charles later joined the Port of Seattle as Director of Warehousing and Distribution, where his leadership and operational excellence earned him the recognition of Manager of the Year. He concluded his professional career as Operations Manager for the State of Washington’s state-controlled liquor operations and was nominated for Washington State ‘Manager of the Year’ in 2010.

At the age of 77, he began a new chapter in his life, professional writing. What started as a passion for sharing insights and stories soon became a remarkable second career. To date, he has authored seven nonfiction books, each packed with real-life experiences and meaningful themes.
